Martin Burgess
Martin joined the team two years ago after relocating back to East Devon having moved away back in the 1980’s, which took him to Wales, Oxfordshire and even Australia.
On his travels, he has supported and worked with several radio stations, including being Programme Controller and Station Manager at Nevill Hall Sound in Abergavenny, which was originally a Hospital Radio station, but successfully developed into a locally-based station.
He worked with Bridge FM in Bridgend for a short while until supporting GTFM in Pontypridd with their original one-month RSL broadcast, and then subsequently presenting their Saturday morning breakfast show for several years once they gained their full licence.
Martin loves his music and enjoys the 70s and 80s the era’s that he grew up with and fell in love with popular music. He has found his musical tastes has evolved and he now has quite an eclectic taste.
Martin has found that whilst his day job has taken him away from East Devon in the past, he is delighted to be back “home”.
Martin presents his 70s show each week and supports the daytime team when required.
