Eian Tapper

Hello, I have lived in Seaton, East Devon all my life, have a passion for truly local radio, going back to my younger days listening to Devon Air Radio.

I was able to borrow a collection of vinyl single records, (took them in an old suitcase to Southampton Docks), as I had a job as relief DJ/radio presenter with P&O Cruise Entertainments, on board the SS Canberra (not long after her return from the Falklands and a major refit.

Over a period of 10 years I bluffed my way around the globe, working on board some of the world's luxury cruise ships and ocean liners, including Cunard Lines - QE2, Vistafjord and Cunard Countess.

In between my days at sea and returning home to the UK, working as a Supporting Artist & TV Extra on shows for ITV and BCC, (appearing only for a few seconds) in Casualty, Only Fools and Horses, House of Elliott, Wycliff and The Jazz Detective all filmed in the South West.

A former Programme Assistant at BBD Radio Devon, (when it was still broadcasting from their studios on Exeter), weekend evening presentation shifts with Gemini FM - Maximum Music (with Ben Clark when he was a young lad!), the Exeter station and of course Bay FM.

With more comebacks than Robbie with Take That.

The Tapps returns to East Devon Radio, your favourite station.
