On Saturday Exmouth Town got back to winning form with a 3-2 victory over Bashley FC at Southern Road.

In local football last Saturday Exmouth Town got back to winning form with a 3-2 victory over Bashley FC at Southern Road.

After taking an early lead with goal in the first minute from Arron Denny they found themselves behind at half time with two well worked goals from the visitors but after the break town improved and a penalty from Jordan Harris and a late winner from Levi Landricombe gave them all three points.

In the Peninsula League East Sidmouth Town put up a great performance at league leaders Okehampton Argyle but two second half goals gave the home side a 2-1 victory while Honiton Town lost 2-0 at home to Brixham Utd, Cullompton Rangers were held to a one all draw at Speeds Meadow by Teignmouth FC but Axminster Town gained a 2-1 victory at West Devon side Holsworthy Utd and Crediton Utd kept up their chase at the top with a 2-0 win at Plymouth Marjons.

In the A&S Devon League most of our local fixtures were postponed due to weather conditions but Ottery St Mary were thrashed 7-0 by Exeter University at Washbrook Meadow while in the Devon and Exeter League Premier Divison Colyton were beaten 3-1 by Kentisbeare at the Peace Memorial Ground and in Divison One East Budleigh were thrashed 9-1 at home to league leaders Winkleigh, but Upottery narrowly beat visitors Bow AAC 2-1 at Glebe Park.

In Divison Two Exmouth Spartan's won 3-2 at Farway Utd but Tipton St John went down 4-1 away to Westexe Park Rangers.

Finally in the Seventh Division Exmouth Rovers had convincing 5-1 away victory over Newton St Cyres Reserves and Ex Dons won 5-0 over visitors Lympstone Utd Second Eleven at the Commons Ground in Divison 8.
