    In local football on Saturday, in the Tool Station Western League Exmouth Town travel to Somerset to take on mid table side Shepton Mallet at Old Wells Road in their first outing of the New Year where victory would keep them chasing the top spot.

    In the Peninsula League East Sidmouth Town will hope for a good start to the New Year when they visit Crediton Utd at Lord's Meadow while Third placed Ottery St Mary travel to West Devon to take on league leaders Okehampton Argyle.

    In other Peninsula games Honiton Town have home advantage where bottom club Stoke Gabriel are the visitors, Axminster Town welcome Dartmouth Utd to Tigers Way and Cullompton Rangers entertain Plymouth side Elburton Villa.

    In the Scott Richards Devon League Topsham tTwn travel to Winslade Park to take on Clyst Valley and Exmouth Town Reserves entertain Liverton Utd at Southern Road, Budleigh Salterton are without a fixture this weekend.
