Weekend local football fixtures

    In local football on Saturday in the Southern league one south Exmouth Town have another home game after their comfortable win over Evesham Utd last week when Westbury Utd are the visitors to Southern Road this time and victory could put them top of the league if Sholing fail to win at Wimbourne Town.

    In the peninsula league east Honiton Town host visiting Elmore at Montgomery Park while Teignmouth Utd travel south to take on Dartmouth Utd at Long Cross. There are FA Vase games for Axminster town against Barnstaple town away, Sidmouth Town entertain fellow peninsula league side Crediton Utd at Manstone lane but Cullompton Rangers travel to Ginster park to face Cornish side Calington Utd. In the A&S Devon league Beer Albion take on Thorverton at Stovar lane, Topsham Town have home advantage when North Moulton visit the Coronation ground and Ottery St Mary host Budleigh Salterton at Washbrook Meadow.  Finally in the Devon and Exeter league premier division Alphington entertain Dawlish Utd at the Chronicals and Sandford take on Clyst Valley at King George playing field. In division one Lympstone Utd play Topsham Town second eleven at the marine camp with Upottery  taking on Exeter University 3ds at park. Division 2 side Exmouth Spartan's travel to Feniton seconds and Exmouth Rovers have home advantage when they play Newton St Cyres reserves the Commons in division 7.

    • GWRSA Thursday Quiz Nights

      GWRSA Exmouth has for many years run a very popular weekly quiz night on Thursday evenings. The quiz is compiled and presented by our very own Ed Lee. It usually starts with a picture round comprising ten pictures, some may include dingbats, then a second round of twenty questions followed by a short break for drinks etc then a final round of thirty general knowledge and current news questions.
