Councillor Olly Davey has been elected as the new mayor of Exmouth and Councillor Joe Whibley will be the deputy mayor. Both were elected at last night Council meeting at the Town Council offices.

Both were elected at last night Council meeting at the Town Council offices.

The new Mayor of Exmouth has thanked the leaving Mayor Councillor Steve Gazzard who has served as the Mayor of Exmouth for the last 4 years  and hopes he can follow in his footsteps to represent and promote Exmouth.

The election of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor happen each year at the annual meeting held in the Town Hall.

• Exmouth RNLI help broken down vessel

  At 7.30pm on Wednesday, H.M. Coastguard tasked the volunteer crews of of both Exmouth RNLI all weather lifeboat 13-03 R & J Welburn and their relief inshore lifeboat D-792 Marie Theresa Bertha Barrass, to assist a 28ft yacht with engine failure.

• New service to support voluntary and community organisations in East Devon

  It will encourage joint approaches to tackling important local issues which it is anticipated will include topics such as health and social care, social isolation and loneliness, fund raising, community resilience, transport, inequalities and climate change.

• Exmouth RNLI assist with broken down vessel

  At 6.39pm last evening Monday 5th June 2023, H.M. Coastguard tasked the volunteer crew of Exmouth RNLI all weather lifeboat 13-03 R & J Welburn to assist Sidmouth Independent Lifeboat with a yacht in difficulty off Sidmouth.

• Flooding drop-in session to be held at Tipton St John

  A final drop-in session for communities in East Devon impacted by last month’s flash floods will be held at Tipton St John Community Hall on Wednesday 2-5pm.

• Attempted Robbery at the Co-Op Littleham, Exmouth

  A man in his 40's was arrested & released on bail following the attempted robbery & being in possession of a knife. Police say a man entered the Co-Op just before 9.20pm on Sunday claiming to be in possession of a weapon & demanded money from the till.
