Employment and Training Support session for Ukrainian guests in Exeter

The event will take place tomorrow Wednesday 11 May, between 2pm and 6pm, at the Exeter Works Hub, opposite the Civic Centre in Dix’s Field and translators will be available to assist on the day.

A drop-in employment and training session for Ukrainian refugees who have recently arrived in Exeter will be held in the city centre.

It takes place on Wednesday 11 May, between 2pm and 6pm, at the Exeter Works Hub, opposite the Civic Centre in Dix’s Field.

Translators will be available to assist on the day.

Ukrainian guests who are staying in Exeter will be able to:

• Sign up for English Classes
• Access information on how to register for benefits
• Register for Employment Support

This session is supported by Exeter City Council, Job Centre Plus, Exeter College and Learn Devon.

There is no need to book – Ukrainian guests can simply drop-in between 2pm and 6pm to obtain the information on offer.

  The regalia and other belongings which has been housed in the Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery in Exeter since 1878, include a buckskin shirt, pair of leggings, a knife with feather bundle, two beaded bags and a horsewhip. The objects once belonged to Chief Crowfoot, an important late 19th century Blackfoot leader.

  It is estimated that hoarding affects between two and five per cent of the population. Excessive hoarding can contribute to health and safety issues including risk of fire and blocking of escape routes as well as contributing to underlying mental health problems.
