A man in his 40's was arrested & released on bail following the attempted robbery & being in possession of a knife. Police say a man entered the Co-Op just before 9.20pm on Sunday claiming to be in possession of a weapon & demanded money from the till.

A man in his 40's was arrested on Sunday 28th May following the attempted robbery and being in possession of a knife.

Police say a man entered the Co-Op in Littleham just before 9.20pm on Sunday claiming to be in possession of a weapon and demanded money from the till.

The suspect was detained by two members of the public, nothing was stolen and the members of the public were unharmed. He was then taken to hospital due to a pre exisitng medical condition, where he remained until being bailed by Devon & Cornwall Police until the 23rd June.
