Gala Bingo offer free bingo for over 65s during lockdown

Staying entertained during the lockdown period has proven to be one of the most challenging aspects of life within these unprecedented times.

With pubs, clubs and gyms all out of question for the foreseeable future, people are becoming more and more creative in their attempts to pass the time along, trying out new home hobbies and activities.

Gala Bingo have understood the predicament that many of us currently find ourselves in and have carved out an excellent offer for those of a particular age to engage in what is a popular pastime for many.

With a weekend trip to bingo currently not a viable option, those who are 65 and over can now partake in some free bingo action on the Gala Bingo website. Announced earlier this month, this offer is set to continue on until the end of the lockdown period. Plus you can get a great bingo bonus online.

Gala Bingo are currently offering two free games of bingo every day for their over 65 players, which take place at 10.30-11.30am and 5.30-6.30pm, allowing pensioners to box off two hours of their day, should they wish to partake. To play these free games, you will need to have a registered online account with Gala Bingo.

They are also offering free chat rooms for all of their players to enter, giving the option to communicate with others within the community who may find themselves in a similar situation.

Karina Adrian, who is the Head of Brand Marketing at GalaBingo.com, told Bingo Daily: “We are a real community at Gala and now more than ever people need to be able to chat with others and keep in touch.

“We know that self isolation can be mentally challenging and we’re pleased to be able to provide entertainment that is safe and responsible, and encourages older people to keep socialising.

“It’s also important to remember to continue supporting charities that carry out vital work with those in need during this difficult time. We’re proud to work with 52 Lives, a fantastic initiative that makes a real difference and encourages our players to support the cause with our charity bingo games.”
